Our community is a space created by dancers, for dancers, driven by the pure joy and passion for Latin rhythms. We come together as volunteers to celebrate Latin dance in all its forms, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to express themselves, contribute, and belong. We believe that dance is about connection, community, joy, and fun, making a valuable contribution to a balanced and fulfilling life.
As a self-organised group, we share our collective knowledge, experiences, and styles with each other, learning, supporting, and growing together. Through this shared passion, we build a vibrant community that thrives on collaboration and the love of dancing.
We create a platform where dancers of all levels can come together to enjoy Latin dance, connect with others, grow or share their skills. We provide plenty of opportunities for dancing, organise events, invite teachers to share their knowledge, and keep people informed about dance activities both locally and nationally. By running classes, social dances, and trips to festivals, we build a supportive and inclusive community where there is a place for everyone to experience the joy of dancing.
Treat all members with respect, regardless of their skill level, background, or experience. Embrace diversity and create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
Share information about events, classes, and opportunities openly. Encourage members to communicate their ideas, questions, and concerns. Be transparent.
Engage actively in community events, classes, and social dances. Your participation helps create a vibrant and thriving community. Volunteer if you can contribute with time, even if it is just helping to clean up after the event. All help counts.
Be willing to share your skills and knowledge with others. Whether you're a beginner or advanced dancer, everyone has something valuable to contribute.
Provide constructive feedback in a respectful manner. Focus on uplifting and supporting your fellow dancers as they improve their skills.
Take responsibility for your actions and decisions within the community. Including physical and emotional safety for you and the people around you.
Approach dancing with a mindset of joy. Learn how to joyfully fail. Failing in dancing is part of learning and growth.
